I grew up in a Christian family where I was discipled and taught about Jesus. I always knew God was real and wanted to follow Him, but it was when I was 12 that God began to show me my sinful heart and my need for Him. I gave my life over to Him completely, and it has been such a beautiful journey of getting to know and love Him, letting Him change my heart and take over. The more I understand the character of Jesus, the more I am drawn to Him in love and realize that there is nothing worth more than knowing Him. I clearly see God's calling on our lives to bring good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives (Isaiah 61:1), and to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). He has given me a love for sharing Jesus especially with women.
I attended a Bible based discipleship program in Colorado and was involved in local ministry there as well as short term missions in Central America and Asia. As I was seeking God to know how and where to love Him and people more full time in this season of my life, He opened the doors for getting involved in Project Bayview and We Are Church. I am so thankful to serve alongside this ministry and these precious brothers and sisters. I am so excited to watch God work in beautiful ways here in Bayview!
